About Ben

Hi! I'm Ben (he/him), a psychologist who is committed to supporting individuals who are navigating developmental and mental health challenges. I hold dual endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist and an Educational and Developmental Psychologist through AHPRA, which allows me to draw on a broad understanding of how cognitive, emotional, and behavioural challenges intersect with everyday social, educational, and life experiences.

I have experience supporting people from all stages of the lifespan, including children, teens, young adults, and adults with a range of developmental and mental health needs. I also conduct psychological assessments related to cognition, learning achievement, adaptive functioning, autism, attention, and behaviour. I have extensive experience supporting individuals with neurodivergent profiles and provide neuro-affirming psychology services for NDIS participants who are Plan-managed and Self-managed participants. My approach to practice is client-led — I believe in identifying and building on each person's unique strengths and interests to help them work toward their goals. I utilise a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and attachment theory (Circle of Security), tailoring an individualised support plan to fit the person in front of me rather than taking a one-size-fits-all path.

Outside of my clinical work, I enjoy spending time at the beach surfing and relaxing with my young family and our dog Lilly. I am a sport diehard and enjoy unwinding playing games on my PC or PS5. I'm genuinely interested in the role technology and gaming can play in psychology, and I like exploring practical, healthy ways they can be used to support wellbeing.
